29 March 26 | Matt 21:1-11 | Expectations

We read this Palm Sunday from Matthew the story of Jesus' entry to Jerusalem, and we are encouraged to pause and reflect; How do we chose the path of servitude and what do we do when Jesus doesn't give us what we want?

Some questions for us to ponder this Sunday:

When Jesus does not become the kind of Messiah they want, praise turns to rejection.

Do we worship God for who He is, or for what we hope He will do?

What happens to our faith when God doesn't meet our expectations?

Prayers & Psalms

Each Sunday, prior to the sermon we have created a space for more voices from our community; One of our children read a Psalm from ‘Psalms for Young Children’ by Marie-Hélène Delval.

Followed by a prayer, shared by a member of our congregation, focused around what's happening in the world, our country and our community. We have included some of these on our Prayers Page for you to revisit and reflect on the words that they shared.
