Funerals, memorials & burials

Funeral & Memorial services

Thank you for considering All Saints Burwood at this challenging time. Grief, sorrow, and bereavement are natural and appropriate responses to the loss of someone we love. We would like to help you remember the life of your loved one and to share the hope we have in God’s grace and power over death.

Funeral and memorial services can take place at All Saints Burwood or at the nearby historic St Mark’s Church.

Funerals are normally arranged through your chosen funeral director, who will coordinate the all the arrangements with the church.

Funeral Directors manage all logistical arrangements which normally include;

  • Connecting you with an appropriate minister or celebrant to lead the funeral. (A service can be led by anyone, it doesn’t have to be an All Saints Minister).

  • Attending to legal requirements.

  • Booking the church venue, arranging interment at Burwood Cemetery or other chosen location.

  • Preparing the order of service, including the any arrangements for music or musicians.

  • Organising catering.

Please speak with your funeral director about the arrangements, and they will liaise with us directly. We are here to support you and your family throughout this difficult time.

Burial/Interment

There are no more standard (adult) sized burial plots available in this cemetery. Ash plots are available, and a number of small burial plots (for children).

To purchase a plot please contact the office.

For a burial, an Anglican minister is usually present. This is not required for the interment of ashes.
