1 November 26 | Standard of Spiritual Success | Matt 5:1-12

This week we begin Matthew Chapter 5, which sees the opening declarations of Jesus Christ's Sermon on the Mount.

In a time when there is increasing pressure to measure up to unrealistic standards, we are reminded that Jesus says God blesses those who mourn - for they will be comforted.

Here is the good news that Jesus teaches, you do not have to be successful to be blessed.

Prayers & Psalms

Each Sunday, prior to the sermon we have created a space for more voices from our community; One of our children read a Psalm either from the Lectionary or for younger children, from ‘Psalms for Young Children’ by Marie-Hélène Delval.

Followed by a prayer, shared by a member of our congregation, focused around what's happening in the world, our country and our community. We have included some of these on our Prayers Pagefor you to revisit and reflect on the words that they shared.
