Today’s Service
Today we welcome the family and friends of Edward Tanner as we celebrate his baptism together, and we read further from Mark Chapter 6.
This week we read the story of the death of John the Baptist. The story of John is a reminder that we are called to be people who tell the truth, and who listen to the truth. Sometimes we are called to speak the truth even when people won't like us for it or even when it is difficult. This was John's calling.

Building Update
It has been great to see the roof go on to our new community space this week. We hosted a roof shout lunch of gourmet burgers for the construction team; builders, roofers, window installers, architect & project manager!
As we get closer we will start to fundraise for the fit out. Keep an eye our for the new Building Fit Out page coming to our website soon for ways you can help.
Conversation about the Treaty is happening all around us. There is an important opportunity right now to dive into our shared story so that we know our place to stand and how we can belong, wherever our ancestors came from.
'Belonging in this land: Treaty basics from a Christian perspective' is an opportunity for our faith community to explore the story of the Treaty of Waitangi over two 90-minute video sessions. Whether you know a lot, or a little, let’s be curious together.
Brought to us by Common Grace Aotearoa in partnership with Karuwhā Trust and Te Manu Hononga - the Sir Paul Reeves Centre, we will hear from expert presenters, including Dean of Taranaki Cathedral Jay Ruka and former Anglican Archbishop David Moxon, to help you refresh or expand your knowledge.

Hope for the Holy Land
The one inevitable outcome of armed conflict is the significant loss of human life and dignity – on any side.
The Diocese of Jerusalem is receiving funds from Anglicans around the world to support Al Ahli Anglican Hospital which is currently open, providing medical assistance and shelter to those in the North of Gaza. During a brief ceasefire, the World Health Organization (WHO) was able to oversee a delivery to the hospital, which remains the only functional medical centre in the northern part of Gaza.
