This week we are introducing some new voices to our service at 10.30am. Each week we will have one of our children read a Psalm, followed by a member from our congregation leading prayers.

This week we read one of my favourite and thought provoking passages from Mark Chapter 7. This is one of the few times you see Jesus let someone beat him in an argument. Rather than turn her away, Jesus commends her faith, and shows to his disciples that the gift of God is for all people in the world.
Jesus came to remind us, that God loves everyone

Update - News Hubs, New Partnerships and New Insights
We’re proud that our nurses have treated 94,000 kids under 5 years old.
A staggering 3 million children under 5 years old die every year in Sub-Saharan Africa. Half of these tragedies could be prevented by correct diagnosis and treatment — the heart of what we do at OneDay Health. Our flowchart-based guidelines encourage our nurses to take a proper medical history, examine their patients and test for deadly conditions like malaria, while they receive monthly in-person support from our hub managers to ensure they remain at their best.
Hoima Hub Kicks off in Style
Odur Paul has one of the toughest jobs of any new 1DH manager - he launches new health centers in a region where he doesn't know the local language! But he's learning the Runyoro language and has already launched three health centers, one of which is l00km from his base in Hoima town. We're excited about the future of Hoima hub, and look forward to three more launches before the year's end.
New Research Partnerships
Researchers from Princeton University joined us in May, to explore what might happen if we offer lower cost care between 8am and 9am in the morning, a time when few patients come in. This will help us understand whether a lower price point might attract even poorer patients, and we'II also see how the price change effects how many patients seek our care.
We're also excited about a new London School of Economics partnership, which will dive deeper into the 1DH patient experience. "Mystery patients" (like a mystery shopper for healthcare) will act as patients, rating the quality of care they receive. Not only will this test the strength of our model vs. informal drug shops and government facilities, but we'll gain new insights to further improve our care.
Towards 1,000,000 patients treated by 1DH
Through strong support from our board and the incredible LSE 100x accelerator team, we've become more ambitious in fulfilling our vision that every Sub- Saharan African will access quality healthcare. Here are a few insights:
Our proven "scalable healthcare architecture" can be deployed at a bigger scale than we previously envisioned.
Government recognition and partnership will be critical to maximise our impact, so we're working on these connections in Uganda
More leadership talent on board will be key to build capacity to scale in Uganda, oversee exciting new research and reach other countries

Meals & Pantry Items
We are in need of a few more cooked meals to have on hand to deliver to households needing some extra support or encouragement. If you can cook a meal, freeze it, then bring it into church we can deliver as needed.
We also need to restock our pantry, that allows us to make up food parcels for those in need: tinned fruit, tomatoes, spaghetti, baked beans, soups, chick peas, creamed rice, cereals, rice, pasta, noodles, muesli bars, chips, biscuits, chocolate, lemonade, crackers and jelly. Gluten free options are always handy too!

We would love to find some new people to join our Sunday Service Tech Team.
Get involved in this awesome team, where you can work behind the scenes to produce the livestream video and livestream sound for our Sunday Service.

We would love to find another bass player or two to join our 10.30am music crew.
