Welcome
It’s great to have you join us this morning. A special welcome to you if you are new here. We hope you’ll stay around after the service and say hi.
Kia tau te rangimarie,
Carolyn.
Today’s Service
Today we read a tricky passage from Mark that talks about divorce, which has been frequently weaponised in religious contexts.
The aim this morning is not to do that, and to make sure that you are feeling loved by God.
We unpack what relevance this passage could have in today's society where divorce is really normal. What can we learn from this passage?
Ultimately, God doesn't care about the rules. He just wants us to know that whatever we do he will love us. We can always return to God, he will always love us.
He knows that we make mistakes and that we struggle, but God says I love you and I will make you mine.
Mark 10:2-16
Each week we will have one of our children read a Psalm from ‘Psalms for Young Children’ by Marie-Hélène Delval,.
Followed by a member from our congregation leading prayers. If you would like to revisit and reflect on today’s prayer, you can find it over at our Prayers Page
