Today we welcome Maja Whitaker who will be preaching for us today.
Maja is the Academic Dean at Laidlaw College, an ordained pastor in the Equippers Church network and she is passionate about equipping people for life in Jesus Christ.
She shares with us today, her reflections on disability, how it’s relevant to all of us, and how disability should not be a barrier to faith.

A seminar on The Treaty, telling the story of the Christian connection to the Treaty, and it’s intentions.
This is travelling around the country, and is here in Christchurch Tues 28th May 7pm - 9pm at the Christchurch Cathedral.

Join in Prayer
From May 9th a number of churches around NZ are taking part in a 24/7 prayer initative for 10days.
We have partnered with the Cathedral from May 12th to May 13th. You can sign up HERE

AGM
Along with appointing the Vestry, at last weeks AGM we unanimously agreed on selling the St Mark’s carpark to fund earthquake strengthening and upgrades to the interior, making it more accessible. Another exciting building project for the parish.

Baptism or Confirmation
Confirmation and baptism classes are coming up on Tuesdays evenings 7 - 9pm.
For 4 weeks | May 14th, May 21st, Jun 4th, Jun 11th
We will be going through the “Practicing the Way” course by John Mark Comer
If you are ready to take a new step in your faith with either baptism or confirmation contact Carolyn for more information or to register your interest.

Small Groups
Small Groups
Next term we will be launching a number of small groups, which are a great place to go deeper finding out about Jesus with others. You can find details on the regular events page.
Craft Group
Join us in the church lounge on Thursdays 1pm-3pm with your own craft project, or chose from any charity, knitting for Operation Cover-up/ Missions without borders: NICU prem babies, or our own knitting for new babies in the church

Any donations of wool gratefully accepted
Card Making
Tutored group on the 2nd Thurs of the month. $4 per card pack.
